A great shot of Mr. Beare and Mr. Garbutt with a collage of programmes from all the musicals they had done at U.S.S., building up to their new collaboration in 1978, the musical "And The Beat Goes On". The story line was written by the two of them and follows the graduating class of Uxbridge High School of 1927 and their descendants, through the music of the ensuing decades to 1978, culminating with the marriage (finally!) of two of the original graduates at an advanced age.

Geordie following the score. This was a huge school production, involving at least 102 students and 14 teachers and staff. Everyone who wasn't involved in it came to watch it, as tickets were sold out all three evenings. It was recorded on VHS tape, which was sadly stolen from the library the next year - wouldn't it be great for that recording to surface again?!!
