60th USS Reunion (1983)
Welcome to our Reunion Weekend

After countless hours of planning and organizing, the Uxbridge Secondary School 60th Anniversary and reunion weekend is finally here. Excitement has been building for the past few months and now is the time to renew those old memories and friendships. The oft used cliché "old friends and memories are usually the best ones," certainly comes to mind on a weekend such as this when you can enter a time warp and relive those memories with those special friends.
Today is a time of change in the educational system and a period of uncertainty and turmoil in the economic community. It is a school such as U.S.S. which provides a solid base for us to encounter and overcome the many problems we are confronted with during our daily lives. Is is so great to look back, hopefully, with fond memories of our days at U.S.S., those interesting and fun-filled teenage years. So, with this in mind, open the gates to those memories, enjoy the past, meet new friends, and accept the reunion weekend for what it is meant to be - a fun time for all.
The bottom line for all of us in life, regardless of our economic and social position, is to be healthy and happy. It is a weekend such as this that allows us an opportunity to realize this. So, when you think you recognize your class clown, your school queen, your favourite teacher or your old  high school sidekick, don't be shy - grab him or her by the hand and let them know how happy you are to see them.
The program for the weekend is a busy one and if we had one word of advice, that is, "don't miss a thing!" Literally hundreds of people have been involved in the planning and organizing of the various events. It is their enthusiasm coupled with your participation which will ensure a memorable weekend for all. On behalf of the Reunion Committee, we would sincerely like to thank all the reunion organizers and workers and, most of all, YOU, the present and former staff and students of U.S.S. for making this weekend such a unique experience. A special thank-you is extended to the Spring Water Days committee who have been so co-operative and enthusiastic right from day one when the reunion theme was introduced over one and a half years ago.
In closing, we hope you have a tremendous time on Reunion weekend and I extend best wishes for your continued happiness.  ENJOY!!

Welcome from the principal

Dear Friends of Uxbridge Secondary School:

It is with great pleasure that I welcome back former students, staff members, and graduates to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Uxbridge Secondary School.
Many activities have been planned both within the school and at outside locations. I hope that you will take time to see and to participate in as many of the planned events as possible. The activities range from decade rooms, assemblies, arts and craft displays to dinners and dances.
Uxbridge Secondary School has a long and memorable history. We are pleased that those of you who are part of this history have taken the time to return and celebrate its proud heritage.
My congratulations to the members of the Reunion Committee and to the many other citizens who have done so much to make this celebration so meaningful for all of us.

Yours sincerely,

David A. Brown, Principal
